JML/HANSBERG high-performance cold-box core machines for horizontal-split tooling are best suited for integration in fully automatic core manufacturing facilities.
In this context, the core machine becomes a piece of equipment bound to operate without interruption lest the whole production process should be jeopardized (as opposed to the traditional core shop approach where one or more back-up machines are normally available and any single machine is not critical to the production process as a whole).
Allowing for both top- and bottom-ejection operation depending on tooling configuration, these machines are extremely versatile.
Dry cycle time may be as low as 16 s, depending on core box size. Most versions will dry cycle in less than 24 s.
Shoot/exhaust time, although affected by core box design, can be as low as 3 s and usually does not exceed 5 s.
